The Olabe farmhouse, with more than 450 years of history, has been carefully restored as a rural hostel in Bedarona (Ea), on the coast of Bizkaia. It offers accommodation for up to 32 guests in private and shared bedrooms, a large fully equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and a spacious 150 m² multipurpose area for workshops, retreats, or events. Olabe is truly a unique place where history, nature, and comfort come together on the rural Basque coast.

Olabe has five guest bathrooms, including one fully adapted for wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. All bathrooms and toilets can be locked for your privacy. There is also a hot outdoor shower, perfect for surfers returning from the beach.

Bedroom 1 is a private ground-floor double room, ideal for couples seeking comfort and quiet within the hostel. With original stone walls, wooden beams, and a super comfortable queen-size bed (160 x 200 cm), it also features a west-facing window that beautifully catches the soft evening light.

Located on the ground floor, Bedroom 2 has been thoughtfully designed to accommodate guests with reduced mobility. The spacious layout allows wheelchair users to comfortably access the bed and storage areas with ease. The room is equally well suited to a small family of up to four people or a couple seeking the comfort and privacy of their own space. Combining accessibility, convenience, and comfort, it provides a welcoming retreat for all guests.

Bedroom 3 accommodates up to six guests in three modern bunk beds. Each bed is equipped with a personal reading light, a power socket for charging phones or laptops, and secure lockable storage for personal belongings. Ideal for groups of friends or families, this private room offers a comfortable and practical space to relax after a day exploring the Basque coast and countryside.

This is the bedroom you want if you are a group of up to eight guests looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to rest. Perfect for groups of friends or a large family, this south-facing room features four bunk beds each with their own lockable storage facilities, personal light and charging point.

Located on the first floor, Bedroom 5 is a spacious room designed to comfortably accommodate families or small groups. The room features a large queen-size bed (160 × 200 cm), a bunk bed, and two single beds on a unique mezzanine floor, creating a flexible and welcoming space for up to six guests. Combining comfort, character, and practicality, it is the perfect retreat for families exploring the Basque Country together.

This is our largest room and accommodates up to nine guests. It is ideal for larger families, groups of friends, or retreat participants. The room features three low single beds and three modern bunk beds, each equipped with a personal reading light and power socket for charging phones, tablets, or laptops. This room also benefits from a private en-suite bathroom for added comfort and convenience. Enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep and wake up to the dawn chorus and the sound of sheep’s bells clinking as they graze the fresh morning pasture.
